ROMELU LUKAKU has been declared fit to face Japan after missing Belgium's victory over England.

The Red Devils boss Roberto Martinez told reporters that the striker will be available, following his recovery from an ankle problem picked up against Tunisia.

The Spaniard said: "Lukaku is fully fit."

The Belgium forward started brilliantly at the World Cup, grabbing four goals in the opening two matches.

But the Manchester United ace was taken off on the hour mark against Tunisia, complaining of an ankle problem.

While Lukaku was forced to miss the game against England, Martinez was pleased with the strength in depth that he has in the squad.

Like the Three Lions, Belgium made wholesale changes to their starting line-up on Thursday, with just Thibaut Courtois and Dedryck Boyata the other players to keep their place from the Tunisia win.

Thomas Vermaelen was among those to see their first action on the tournament, having been returning from injury.

But Martinez hopes he will be at full fitness for their clash against Japan on Monday, despite getting a black eye against England.

And the Spaniard added that Vincent Kompany was fit after his 20-minute cameo against the Three Lions, but was unsure if he is match ready for their last 16 crunch match.
