How was Sennek chosen to represent Belgium?

Sennek was chosen to represent Belgium via an internal selection process hosted by Flemmish broadcaster VRT.

She was the first singer to be confirmed for Eurovision 2018 when the decision was unveiled in September.

Sennek was first introduced on the chat show Van Gils & Gasten.

On the show she performed an English version of Amar Pelos Dois (Love For Both), Portugal's winning song at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

What song is Sennek performing at Eurovision 2018?

Sennek will perform A Matter Of Time, a song which she wrote herself.

It debuted on Belgian radio station MNM in March 2018.

The pop ballad has been compared to a James Bond theme song such as Tomorrow Never Dies.

This bodes well for Belgium since Conchita Wurst won in 2014 with her Bond-style ballad Rise Like A Phoenix.

When did Belgium join Eurovision and hav e they ever won?

Belgium joined Eurovision in 1956 and has participated 59 times to date.

They have only won the contest once - in 1986 when Sandra Kim sang J'aime La Vie in Norway.

In the last five years Belgium's Eurovision luck has changed since they've qualified for the Grand Final four out of five times.

In 2017 Blanche represented the country with the song City Lights, finishing fourth in Kiev.
